Financial Controller

That’s why we’re looking for a Financial Controller who not only makes sure the numbers are right, but above all provides insight into what they mean. Someone who sees connections, takes a critical look at results and processes, and helps management make better decisions.

What will you do?
As Financial Controller, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of Finance:

• You oversee the bookkeeping and financial administration.
• You check journal entries, reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial data.
• You prepare and analyze financial reports.
• You safeguard the guidelines of the administrative organization.
• You manage the planning and control cycle.
• You ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
• You prepare and deliver financial documents for the annual accounts.
• You monitor liquidity, ensure the accounts receivable process runs smoothly and that invoicing is done on time.
• You improve financial management and financial processes.
• You report financial findings to the board and actively contribute ideas for improvement.
• You prepare payments and handle incoming and outgoing emails.
• You prepare periodic financial reports and support the board with relevant financial information and insights.

Who are you?
You enjoy a hands-on role in which you take responsibility for the bigger picture. In addition, you:

• Have a bachelor’s level of work and thinking (HBO).
• Have at least 3 years of experience in a business economics/finance role.
• Have experience leading a team.
• Are analytically strong and results-driven.
• Communicate clearly in both Dutch and English.

What do we offer?

• A salary between €5,200 and €6,500 gross per month based on a full-time working week, depending on experience and education.
• 25 vacation days, with the option to purchase an additional 10 days per year.
